The Tableware International Magazine featured our CEO Anand Baldawa in their recent Sept-Oct 2017 issue. In this featured interview, Anand talks about how the cutlery business is faring for Seeba and what are the challenges in retailing cutlery.
Talking about what attracts buyers along with the ongoing trends, Anand suggests adopting a two-step strategy – one to attract new customers and adhere to the trends, two, to appeal to loyal customers.
With an increase in demand for medium to medium-high quality products with variations in finish and feel and an increase in demand for smaller sets for nuclear families. Seeba’s ethos is to manufacture and supply simple, classic and timeless designs.
Addressing the challenges in retailing Anand states that with the significant shift to the online market space it has become optically difficult for customers to identify the good and the not so good products present in the market.
